Mikee Freedom, born in Bristol, discovered his love for music at the age of seven. Due to his mother's long hospital stays, he lived with family friends from Trinidad, where he found a home filled with love, good food, and music. In 1979, he entered the care system after being separated from his Trinidadian family. That same year, his sister gifted him his first Specials album just before his 10th birthday. In 1982, he discovered hip-hop on the radio and quickly became a big fan. During the late 1980s, he began working with his first manager, and by 1991, he had written lyrics for songs like "Devotion." Over the past 34 years, Mikee Freedom has toured worldwide as a DJ and performer, and he has new music on the way soon.
